Fulbright University Vietnam Celebrates Home Campus Construction
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. On Friday, October 10, 2025, Fulbright University Vietnam organized a Home Campus Construction Celebration at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park. The event marked a major milestone in Fulbright’s journey toward establishing its permanent Ho Chi Minh City campus and highlighted the university’s commitment to supporting Vietnam’s continued socioeconomic transformation by educating human capital to drive technological innovation. The university expects to complete the first phase of construction by September 2026, in time for the start of the 2026 – 2027 academic year.

A Moment of Gratitute
Reflecting on the occasion’s significance, Dr. Đinh Vũ Trang Ngân, Fulbright University Vietnam’s president, said: “To arrive at this very moment—right here, right now—we have all come a long way, overcoming countless challenges and obstacles along the journey. But as you can see, we made it. Fulbright University Vietnam wishes to express its deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to our entire Fulbright family for your unwavering support, unity, and boundless courage.”

Underscoring the strong and continued support of the Vietnamese government for Fulbright University Vietnam, the event was attended by Ms. Trần Thị Diệu Thúy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee and the leadership of the Saigon Hi-Tech Park Management Board and Tang Nhon Phu Ward.
In attendance were members of the university’s Board of Trustees and key partners including Mr. Chris Helzer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Mr. Henry Bảo Hoàng Nguyễn, Trustee; Mr. David Dương, Trustee; Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Phượng, Founder of Phoenix Holdings; Ms. Đặng Minh Phương, Trustee; and Ms. Hoàng Thị Mai Hương, Chair of Publicis Groupe Vietnam, Trustee emeritus.
Representing the university’s construction partner Newtecons were Mr. Nguyễn Bá Dương, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Võ Thanh Liêm, General Director, who reaffirmed their commitment to bringing Fulbright’s visionary campus to life with excellence and innovation.

A Shining Example of Bilateral Partnership
Fulbright University Vietnam embodies the dynamism and promise of the US-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership and the critical role that educational exchange has played in forging mutually beneficial ties between the countries. Since its establishment in 2016, Fulbright University Vietnam has benefited from generous financial support of the United States government, including from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the Department of State. Fulbright’s Saigon High Tech Park campus is a building built on a 15-hectare site granted to the university by the Vietnamese government.

An Innovative, Future-Focused Campus
Fulbright’s Saigon High-Tech Park campus master plan and architectural design were developed by SHoP Architects, an award-winning firm based in New York, USA, with the participation of renowned design consultants including MH Architects, Arup, Aurecon, and DP Consulting. The project is being constructed by Newtecons, a leading Vietnamese construction contractor, ensuring world-class quality and safety standards throughout the building process.
In line with Fulbright’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, the campus is designed as a green development, aiming to achieve both LEED Gold and EDGE certifications — benchmarks that reflect Fulbright’s dedication to environmental responsibility, energy efficiency, and the creation of a healthy learning environment for future generations.
Fulbright will begin the development of its Saigon High-Tech Park campus by constructing two central buildings. The first, Building B9, houses the campus’s state-of-the-art technical systems — providing continuous and reliable power, water, air conditioning, and comprehensive fire safety and security solutions. The second, Building B8, will serve as Fulbright’s academic and innovation hub, featuring a traditional and digital library, data center, modern hybrid classrooms, laboratories, maker space, and multifunction indoor sport and performance areas, totaling nearly 10,000 square meters of floor area. Athletic facilities, landscaping, and security infrastructure will also be developed during the first phase of construction. Fulbright plans to complete construction of this first phase by September 2026, in time for the start of the 2026 – 2027 academic year.
