Peter Mach

Peter graduated from Columbia University with a BA in  1995 in east Asian Studies (CC ’95) and a Master’s degree in International Affairs (SIPA ’96), concentrating on Banking and Finance for his graduate work.

 

He worked in finance as an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in New York and Hong Kong between 1996 and 2002, and as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong between 2002 and 2007, managing its equity derivatives and also hedge fund businesses across Asia.

 

In 2007, Peter co-founded Vietbridge Capital, a fund management company that specialized in investing in equities and real estate in Vietnam. In 2011, Peter exited Vietbridge and beame a partner at the hedge fund HDH Capital Advisors in Singapore, which specialized in M&A investing with event-driven strategies across various sectors and asset classes.

 

In 2012, Peter established a non-profit educational foundation called AMA Vietnam Ltd in Singapore, helping underprivileged students and teachers of Vietnam with Scholarships and motivational work at the University of Education across 3 cities in Vietnam (see https://www.amadoundation.info/ and https://www.youtu.be/UrHZh8ohgO8). He is also co-managing another educational foundation in Vietnam that focuses on funding and empowering underprivileged students in the field of technology and sciences at the University of Education of Ho Chi Minh City.

 

In 2014, Peter co-founded Tanzanite International Ltd to invest and develop luxury resort and residential properties in Vietnam (see https://www.tanzanite-international.com/ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-EDL1bHMXQ). His company also built Hamptons Plaza in Ho Tram and the first Pier in Vietnam, known as the Hamptons Pier for the purpose of growing tourism in Ho Tram Beach (https://youtu.be/FVeRyPJ-00?si=pv2HoCEfa0E1VM-G). 

 

Peter actively works with Fulbright University of Vietnam, acting as an advisor on select aspects. He serves as the current President of Columbia Alumni Association of select aspects. Her serves as the current President of Columbia Alumni Association of Vietnam (“CAA”), and also a board member of CAA globally in NYC, while acting as a member of Advisory Board for the Vietnamese Studies Program at the Weatherhead East Asian Institute of Columbia University.
