Fulbright successfully organized the first Coed Tournament in Ho Chi Minh City

Fulbright University Vietnam, in collaboration with seven of its sports clubs, hosted the first multi-sports coed tournament in Ho Chi Minh City. The five-day event featured a diverse range of sports, including ultimate frisbee, volleyball, soccer, basketball, badminton, and tennis. Participants from across Vietnam, including RMIT University Vietnam – SGS Campus, Swinburne Vietnam, and Hong Bang International University, among others, joined in on the excitement.

As the organizer of such a notable event, Fulbright University Vietnam is honored to have hosted over 400 participants and 290 athletes. “I love how all the soccer teams respect each other and have great sportsmanship. Although some of the teams lost, they still come and cheer for the next games of the winning teams. The tournament is not only highly competitive but also inspiring,” exclaimed Tran Quang Phuc (Class of 2025), President of Fulbright Soccer Club.

Despite facing tough competition, Fulbright University Vietnam persevered and came in first place in soccer and basketball. We have great hopes that future tournaments will engage the youth in physical activities and community development, promote the importance of sports, and encourage inclusivity and gender equality in educational institutions.
